Ashleigh

Forest School Teacher

Ashleigh is a Primary School Teacher (QTS Level 6) with 7 years’ experience teaching and leading in Nursery and Reception classrooms across London. After taking a break to raise her own children she returned to work teaching at a local Forest School playgroup. She joined our team as our Forest School teacher to lend her expertise in outdoor learning and nature led play.

She believes whole heartedly in the power of learning outside. It supports children to develop their confidence and independence and provides them with a way to connect with their environment. She stimulates our children with an environment that allows for creativity, exploration and risk-taking! Ashleigh is making full use of our large wild garden, which provides a fantastic location for weekly whole class, small group and 1:1 sessions, whatever the weather may bring! Building on the interests, needs and development of the children Ashleigh delivers stimulating Forest School sessions through risky play, exploring nature, practising skills, songs, nature craft and storytelling.

Sonia
